How to register your interest for ADSL
To ensure your support is recorded by BT- and counts towards over target - you need to Pre-register
with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) of your choice. As the pre-registration
scheme is still very new, only a small number of ISPs currently have pre-registration
facilities available, but more will be online in the near future.
Don't worry if your preferred ISP is not listed, if and when our
exchange is upgraded, you will be free to sign up with a different
ISP, if you wish. In fact, you can pre-register now with more than one ISP if you wish, however
your registration will only be counted once by BT.
Any registrations made prior 1st July 2002 will not count and we would ask you to pre-register using one of the ISPs listed below or contact your preferred ISP.
From the feedback we have received, we understand the pre-registration process is far from straightforward and therefore if you prefer, you can complete the following form and we will submit the information to your chosen ISP on your behalf. The information will not be passed on to any other party. Links to each of the ISP's pre-registration sites are provided below, if you prefer to enter the details directly yourself.
REMEMBER: There is no obligation to use any particular ISP if and when our exchange is upgraded, but it is important at this stage that all pre-registrations are passed to BT for counting.
Important - Simply entering your telephone number/postcode
into the ADSL Checker provided by BT will not increase
the pre-registration count for the Mossley exchange, you must complete the pre-registration information. The pre-registration scheme is designed to provide BT with a more definite indication of demand.
Please note pre-registration does not commit
you to proceed with ADSL once an exchange is enabled.
The following ISPs are accepting pre-registrations and passing the information to BT. It may be possible to pre-register with other ISPs, however it is unclear at this stage whether they are passing the information to BT and therefore it may not be reflected in Mossley's total.
